Here's the tallest Grape Tomato. It sprouted an itty bitty yellow flower yesterday. Hopefully a few more flowers will open up and the bees can do their magic! Yummy yummy yummy.

Is that a Cucumber?
Is that an itty bitty Cucumber? We've had lots of rain for the last couple of weeks, and the cucumber vine is getting really large. There are about 20 flowers, and 2 or 3 of them have what looks like the start of a cucumber! Yay!
The lettuce and beets are coming along pretty well. I've not pulled any beets up to see how they're doing underground though...
I did pluck a couple of lettuce leaves and they were a little bitter. I'm hoping they'll mellow out as the get larger. I'm salivating for a garden fresh salad.
The Broccoli isn't looking very broccoli-like, so we'll see how that develops.

We have Tomato!!
05/29/2009
In the front, you can see the tops of the grapes Psera gave me. In the middle are the plants Jenn gave me and in the back are the 50 cent pulls. You can see the first chunk of juicy goodness developing just to the left of center in the pic.
Can't wait to fry up that greenie! I hope it gets a bit bigger though ;)
Corn is in the ground. Transplanting was a challenge because all the roots were knotted together. I'll know better next year, but many more plants survived than I expected from those old seeds.
Also in the picture you can see the Butternut Squash I put in the ground a few days ago.
The scare flamingo has been doing his job fabulously. Not a single corn plant has been lost.
